Becoming something different.
With the start of a new year and, for many, the last quarter before a new financial year begins, it's the perfect time to ask: Are you ready to find your something different, create new value, and outshine your competition?
Strategy has always been about finding a competitive advantage, creating new customer and business value, and making the choices that will get you from where you are to where you want to be. I've always loved that.
Over the last twenty-odd years, I've been fortunate and deeply grateful to work with some of the world's best brands, marketers, strategists, creatives, designers, producers, developers, media, client service, and comms practitioners and learnt from some of our industry's best, which has seen me be part of teams that have created great marketing and advertising to build massive customer and business value, with some campaigns recognised on the world stage. Understandably, this has shaped my view, thinking, and working, as well as what Something Different is.
This is a quick(ish) introduction to becoming something different.
Please let me know if you'd like to explore any of this.
It starts with a conversation.
From there, I get to know your business. Then we spend 3 days workshopping.
Day 1: Deep-Dive Discovery
I meet with key decision-makers to understand your current challenges, goals, and market dynamics. This understanding sets the foundation for everything we do next.
Day 2: Believe & Build
We’ll crystallise the core beliefs that set your business apart—your “why and then build on those beliefs to craft (or refine) products, services, and experiences that embody your uniqueness. Think of it as designing your “something different.”
Day 3: Shape & Communicate (Brand)
Finally, we translate your something different into a clear business and marketing strategy and a brand framework that shouts something different from the rooftops and map out how to communicate your story consistently and compellingly.
After the workshops, I will work with you as much or as little as you would like to help implement everything we worked through together.
