Why think and worry about investing in doing loads of things when you could focus on three things and knock them out of the park?
After all, Bob Dorough and later De La Soul said 3 is a magic number. Pythagoras may have been a fan of 3 before them. Anyway, I digress.
I was undoubtedly inspired by Dr Grace Kite's recent LinkedIn post and article in Marketing Week on the 'Margherita Funnel' and, of course, years of excellent work from individuals like Les Binet, Peter Field, James Hurman, Tom Roach, and the team at WARC. I found myself in a workshop I was running last week, drawing two lines and two boxes on a whiteboard.
I often find complications, confusion, and stress when there isn't any need for it.
Because of this, I strive to make things simple, straightforward, and easy to follow and implement, as I believe this is where a greater chance of success can be found.
What followed the two lines and two boxes on a whiteboard helped those in the workshop, so I have no doubt it will greatly help others, too, hence my sharing of it.
You end up with three questions to answer, which gives you three areas of work and what to measure for each along the way.
You know where to find me if you would like to explore two lines and two boxes on a whiteboard.
